Cedar honey is also known to relieve ailments such as asthma, severe cough, anemia, stomach and colon ulcers. The type of honey, which is popularly called diabetes honey, is a type of honey used by diabetics as it keeps blood sugar in balance thanks to the high fructose it contains. Cedar honey is a secretory honey, not a flower honey. Depending on the seasonal temperature and rains, the Basra beetle produces a secretion by consuming the cedar sap on the cedar tree. Our bees carry this secretion to the hive and make cedar honey.
